2005 proved to be a good year for BOTW at the conferences. We didn’t participate in our first trade show until PubCon 2004 (though we walked around SES NYC a bit in ‘05), when Jared made the trip to Vegas to test the waters. He went out solo to (a) learn some SEO, and (b) determine if it was a potential opportunity for us. Upon his trumphant return, we decided that we would begin making the rounds in the upcoming year.

In 2005 Brian and I attended the WMW show in New Orleans, Internext in Miami and then SES San Jose in August. All of those were great, and each presented new opportunities and additional contacts. At WMW Vegas this year, we upped the ante with a booth, and truly had a fantastic experience. It was well worth the money spent.

For the upcoming year, we plan on attending one SES and WMW show, and exhibiting at one SES show and one WMW show. I know that we will be exhibiting at SES NYC in March, and depending upon the results, we may exhibit in San Jose this summer. We will most likely have a booth at WMW in Vegas this fall, and we will probably make the trip to Boston this spring. So unfortunately we won’t be able to hang out at the inaugural SEO PowWow, but we should see you at one of the industry shin-digs.

As the conferences approach, we will provide discount passes and other relevant information. We look forward to seeing you.
