Doh, sorry Greg. I recall my previous comment.

I should have read deeper into this post: http://www.botwblog.org/all-your-blog-are-belong-to-us/ .

I was so entranced by the awesomeness of the "All Your Blog are Belong to Us" BOTW shirt that I didn't read the post.

Hey Greg,

I discovered the resurgence of the Best Of The Web when I visited your booth at SES New York and I think the blog directory is a great idea to contribute to your ongoing success.

I was wondering how stringent the requirement is that a blog have at least 6 months of posts before placement in the directory?

I've just begun blogging but we're dedicated to actively putting out quality content on the used server, storage and networking marketplace. We're the first blogger in the used server market and I think we would be a nice addition to the computer hardware category. (I've discovered some new links I need to add to my blogroll category here!)

Please let me know if the 6month paramter is pretty much a hard rule.
If so, I'll wait to submit until we meet that.

Best of luck with BOTW, we're all rooting for your continued success!

[...] Best of the Web, the web’s oldest directory, has launched a new program for volunteer editors in conjunction with their Blog Directory. With other volunteer directories, there is often a problem with over-enthusiastic SEOs trying to stuff their client listings in. Greg Hartnett of BOTW has a response to that: “Please don’t see this as an opportunity to stuff your blogs into the directory. First of all, you don’t have to become an editor to get your blog listed. Just submit it. It’s free, so you don’t need to feel compelled to put on some big charade to get your blog listed. Secondly, editors don’t get special priviliges to stick any blog they want in.” [...]
